    St. Margaret’s Anglican Church
    This modest, stone church was officially named in 1887 when the cornerstone was laid by Lady MacDonald, the wife of Sir John A. MacDonald, Canada's first Prime Minister.

    Coteau-du-Lac National Historic Site
    Situated on the St. Lawrence River, this is the location of the first canal lock in North America. There is a visitor centre onsite as well as archaeological artifacts from prehistoric times and an interpretive footpath.

    St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church
    Located across from the Supreme Court in Ottawa. St. Andrew's is one of Ottawa's oldest churches, dating back to 1828. Open year round, Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm. Services are held on Sunday at 9:30am and 11am.

    Domaine MacKenzie-King
    Used as a summer residence by MacKenzie King for 50 years, Domaine MacKenzie-King consists of a number of restored original buildings as well as restored grounds, gardens and trails. Guided tours are available and educational tools include video presentations and temporary exhibits. There is a tea room onsite.

    The Mackenzie King Estate

    This sprawling estate was the private retreat of former Canadian Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King, who was Canada's leader for a record 22 years. Explore restored cottages, walking trails and landscaped gardens that come complete with stone ruins. Afterwards, relax in the charming tea room. Some feel that King's spirit still dwells within the walls of the estate, since it was the site of his passing.

    Notre-Dame de Lourdes Grotto
    Based on the original Notre-Dame de Lourdes in France, this grotto is complete with a statue of Mary. Stones comprise an arched shelter that houses the alter, also made of stones. Wooden park benches operate as pews and the entire area is encapsulated in shrubs and trees. Story has it that the church and grotto were built in 1887 when a local dignitary, Michel Cyr, donated land in exchange for a free seat in church.
