Garden of the Provinces
These aptly named gardens commemorate the Confederation of Canada's ten provinces as well as the territories. The gardens feature flags, bronze plaques, a fountain and two historic chuches. Located across from the National Library and National Archives. Open daily, 24 hours.

This large farm is not only a research base for Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, but it is also a tourist attraction featuring: the Canada Agriculture Museum, which features a working dairy, small animal, cattle and rare breeds barns; the Arboretum, with a vast and massive collection of established trees and shrubs that sprawl across the grounds; Ornamental Gardens, which first opened in the 1880s, and encompasses a variety of smaller themed gardens; and many heritage buildings dating back to the 1880s. The Arboretum and Ornamental Gardens are open to the public daily, free of charge.

Leamy Lake Ecological Park and Archaeological Site
This expansive inner-city park is situated where the Gatineau River meets the Ottawa River. Once an important stopping-off point with fur traders and first nations people, part of the park is under excavation for historical artefacts. The park also offers a lake for swimming and windsurfing.

Omega Park gives visitors the chance to see wild animals in their natural habitat. The 605 ha (1500 acre) park contains a number of animal species include black bear, bison, beaver, wolf, moose, red deer and many more. Guests can view the animals from the safety of their vehicles. The park also features a snack bar, a gift shop, pedestrian paths, a picnic area, an information centre and a birds of prey show.

Rockliffe Park
Found just east of Rideau Hall, this park meanders for about 3 km along the Ottawa River and is possibley popular with Ottawa's business elite who live in this district. If true, it would not be surprising since it features the lovely NCC Rockieries - a rock garden. The park is also home to the Canoe Club and the RA Sailing Club. Adjacent to the RCMP Training Centre.

New Edinburgh Park
